QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must Be Graduated from ABET Certified Universities
Valid driver's license
Canadian/Mexican passport
SKILLS
Knowledge of plant electrical, instrumentation, and control concepts; the ability to read and interpret plant process and instrumentation diagrams, single line diagrams, instrumentation loop sheets, wiring, and interconnection diagrams, instrument spec. sheets, and E/I&C predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
Knowledge with the application of the National Electric Code and other appropriate standards.
Experienced with complex analytical instrumentation, including CEM equipment, mass spectrometers or gas chromatographs.
Proficient with the MOC procedure and software.
Proficient with medium voltage switchgear DC control circuits, communication networks and protocols, power conditioning, medium voltage transformer specification, cathodic protection, substation design, HVAC, power monitoring, synchronous motors and exciters, safety systems, compressor surge and performance controls, electronic governors, radio communications, relay coordination, load flow, and short circuit studies.
Proficient with hazardous area design requirements, including explosion proof equipment, non-incentive and intrinsically safe equipment, T- ratings, and purged equipment.
