Melvin Pimentel joined Sapon Immigration in May 2021, working abroad as a Recruitment Specialist in El Salvador.
While he was new to the world of recruitment, his skills and abilities within project management, leadership, and team management, as well as his extensive background in agriculture, made him an excellent fit for the Sapon Immigration Recruitment Team.
Melvin studied Agricultural Engineering at the Catholic University of El Salvador. After graduation in 2013, he gained fieldwork experience in sugarcane production, perennial and annual agricultural productions, integral management of pigs and cattle, disease detection, artificial insemination courses, personnel management, and training in ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications. He is certified as an artificial inseminator in cattle and swine. He also worked in pork and beef meat processing facilities throughout El Salvador and was tasked with inspecting the facilities and the procedures used throughout the harvesting process. In addition, Melvin participated in conventions on various agriculture topics and implemented personal protective equipment, a novelty for fieldwork in El Salvador. He oversaw personnel training and ensured the proper use of tools, chemicals, and protective equipment.
As a recruitment specialist with Sapon Immigration, Melvin’s knowledge of the agricultural industry is crucial. He uniquely understands the skills U.S. corporate clients seek in prospective candidates, allowing Sapon Immigration to offer a superior vetting process in the talent acquisition stage. Melvin’s background in agriculture processes and people management makes him a great asset to the companies and clients who work with Sapon Immigration.
