J-1 Visa & Waiver

J-1 VISA & WAIVER

The J-1 visa program facilitates cultural exchange through various categories, such as au pairs, interns, trainees, scholars, and teachers.

An approved program must sponsor participants. Some may be subject to a two-year home country residency requirement, but waivers are available under certain conditions, such as no objection from the home country or exceptional hardship. The application process involves obtaining a DS-2019 form from the sponsor, attending a visa interview, and demonstrating ties to the home country.

J-1 APPLICATION PROCESS
