NATIONAL INTEREST WAIVERS

The National Interest Waiver (NIW) is a provision that allows certain foreign nationals to seek permanent residency in the U.S. without the need for a job offer or labor certification if their work is deemed to be in the national interest.

Applicants must demonstrate that their work benefits the U.S. significantly and that it would be in the national interest to waive the typical job offer and labor certification requirements. The NIW application process involves submitting evidence of the applicant's qualifications, the impact of their work, and letters of support, followed by adjudication by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
